Taking advice

Yesterday’s horoscope told me not to get into anything too complicated. Don’t start any new, involved projects, it said. Stick to the mundane, it’s all your brain can handle. Tomorrow will be better and you can get on with things then.

So I paraphrase a little. But it’s true.

I got work done yesterday. I steadily plodded through the day, getting out a press release that had been sitting on my desk, getting through my e-mail (which decided to suddenly hide half my messages on me), working through lunch as I had to leave a bit early… I did my job to the best of my ability.

Fortunately, I think my ability has increased today. Finally.

Of course, I still feel like I have too much to do and not enough time (or brain power) to accomplish it all. But I finally feel like walking across campus to get a photo of some students doing a film project or something behind one of the buildings (details are sketchy, but it’s a photo lead, I’ll take it).

So off I go, through the snow in my big blue coat and hat.
