I’m a little anxious as well as anticipatory. A plane is landing. My mum’s getting off. Just a regular weekend visit. Nothing especially special. But there’s always a jump in the exitement level, a little extra adrenaline.

Is she really on the plane? Will her luggage get here OK? What will she think of my office? I think she’ll like the lace curtains and lamps.
